Dario Arnaez
For many years I still using vraymtlwrapper to get shadows in a transparent floor to mount on any image in Photoshop. Now I'm rendering some glass objects with caustic effect on the floor. How can I get the caustic effect in a transparent floor? Thank you so much who knows the answer. I tried many times but no result by the moment.
cg_Butler
I'm confused at to what you want. Sorry! Could you post some example images?
spunk91
If it's only for one picture, then you can pretty quickly render in out on a white background, and then photoshop it. I did so for a similar project, and i could not figure out the same problem, how to render out caustic on a matte background.
cg_Butler
Can you not use the VRayCaustics element to capture our caustics and then use that post production?
Ricardo Eloy
Or you can save the image in PNG format and have the ground not affecting alpha. Reflections, shadows and even caustics casted onto the ground should appear over the transparency.
