Devin Johnston
I'm having trouble following your story, first you said that Matt gave you the contact information of their custom modeler and you had some miscommunication with him. Then you said you contacted Matt again and asked for the graphics artist's information, this is confusing because he apparently already put you in contact with the person you needed to talk to. I don't see how he's being greedy, I think you've left some details out of your story.
joethayer
He put me in contact with their custom model people, not the original graphic artist I wanted to talk to who had work posted on their site. I will try to change it to make that more clear.
Devin Johnston
I assume he did that because he had some existing agreement with his custom modeling people and who's to say he's even on good terms with the original artist who did the work you saw. Turbosquid kind of does the same thing, they won't even let you speak to the artists who create their models. In either case it's not a good idea to insult the people you're trying to get to help you especially considering you had no contract and it doesn't sound like any money had exchanged hands. joethayer
Turbo Squid has put me in contact with graphic artists several times. It does not hurt their business. If the 3D model does not exist to begin with and I pay someone to create it but don't require exclusive rights then it can be sold on TS and they make money on it. Nobody is losing in that scenario. Scott Schroeder
Dude, stop spamming all of the boards! http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109312 Don't give this Joe any credit as he doesn't pay people that do work for him anyways and never works with a contract. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103413 We're all connected through the various forums so don't think you can get away with your trash here. Devin Johnston
I figured something like that was going on, who creates a new account and makes their first post a complaint about some random company.
joethayer
It isn't trash and it's not some random company. I have heard other sellers having problems with the3dstudio and I thought they might want a heads up from a buyers point of view.
Scott Schroeder
It's trash when it is a literal copy/paste from your Polycount thread that apparently you have now abandoned. You are clearly out on a witch hunt. I've heard other people having problems with getting payment from you too, so everyone should have a heads up about you as well.
