jbOS
Hi, No matter what I try I just can't seem to get nice soft shadows off of some vrayIES lights in my interior scene. Here is a region example and the light settings. You will see how sharp and square the shadow is. I have tried everything from different IES files, moving the light source around the scene, trying all different settings for the light. I am stumped. Does anyone have any ideas? My scene is lit by a vray dome light with HDRI but I have not had issues like this before? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers, James
Francisco Penaloza
Well if you are using VRay IES, the shadows parameters should be on the IES file it self. What I would recommend is use 3dS max IES lights, just be sure of use VRay shadows and in the shadows params, check the box for area shadows, there you can play with the radius to make your shadows sharp or not
jbOS
Awesome thanks. Will take a look at this and try the 3DS lights. Cheers!
