please , somebody help me with this error

i`m working with max 2012 and mental ray render engine , many times i have the attached error , then mental ray crashes and shutdown

pleas help

What are you trying to render? What is in your scene? What are your settings? Where did you get this file? Are you sure that everything in the file is 100% compatible with MR? The more descriptive you are, the more help you will get.

 

It is either a memory issue, an incompatible object/material/light, or a bad render setting. Or all 3. Are you using BSP or BSP2 in your settings?

this error appears to me with several files , i don`t know why ?!! i also tried both Bsb and Bsb2 and i got the same message , the materials are several too !!!!!

any help?

Check for software updates/service packs. 2012 mental ray version is 3.9.3.14 and yours is older for some reason

Now that I look at it, that's not even the Max 2012 icon at the bottom or at the top of his screen cap. This looks like 2010. The OP may be having compatibility issues.
