Tim Nelson
Thanks for the links, but I can't find any 3D files to download. Am I not looking hard enough?

Ted Boardman
>>Does anybody know a good site to get door hardware, like handles, locks etc.? Preferably from a manufacturer like Kohler has set up for all its Tim, Be cautious of those objects. I was training recently and wanted to use a very small house for exterior radiosity. It was taking over 20 min to calculate and render. We removed the front door lockset -90,000 faces- and the time dropped below 10 min. Removed three more imported light fixtures -42,000 faces each- and the time dropped to less than 2 min. We rebuilt the objects in viz in about a half hour and they didn't add to the render times. These little things are what often slows production. Ted
mbr
Kohler will send you a free CD with their faucets, tubs, sinks, etc. But be warned: they are not the best (I had to use 2 sided materials on them and delete all the construction lines) and are horribly organized (they just use numbers, so you have no idea how they correspond with the real ones). It's worth it, though, esp. if you have a client that wants a specific thing.
