andrewmapley
Stupidly ive been saving and working on my current project from my external hard drive and I think it would be better when rendering and just generally working on it from my C: drive. Max has been getting slower and slower as the project has progressed. Anyway, If I move everything over to the internal hard drive will I have to manually change all the bitmap locations and some of the other location specific settings?? If so is there a quick way to do it? Thanks Andy
salvador
You could collect all your maps and proxies using the Archive tool and then move everything into the new location and add this new location in your External Files directory. Alternatively, you can strip all your paths using the Bitmap/Photometric Paths utility so that Max will search and load in the scene location first. Bruce Hart
You can also use the Relink-Bitmaps script. Very handy IMO.
