getting started

Hi everyone. I am interested in pursuing side work with arch viz. I have enough 3d experience that I feel confident I could do it however I have no architectural background. So, I'm not sure what I need to know or learn in that area to do this properly. Can anyone direct me to some good articles, tutorials or books geared towards someone like me?

 

Also, when I have a portfolio put together are there any suggestions for finding work? I was thinking I could pass along a brochure of my work to local construction companies, architects and interior design firms. But any other ideas?
