adamd1
Hi, I would like to hear from those of you with working experience - Are there regular slow times / busy times during the year for receiving jobs, or is it pretty consistent throughout the year? If so, when. I am mainly looking for answers regarding business in the US. Edited December 26, 2012 by adamd1

matthewspencer
All my freelance work has always been insanely feast/famine. A couple months ago I had so many projects at the same time that it almost swallowed me whole. Now it's dried up for about a solid month. Every design consultancy I've worked in-house for has experienced the same pattern. From my experience, you can basically count December out. So many out-of-office email replies... Not sure how Tom found consistency but whatever potion he drank, I'll take about a gallon of it.
anejo
This is kind of a vague question. Are you asking from those who work for architectural firms, media firms, marketing, gaming, product development..? People who do freelance, sub’s, full time employees..? This can be a great question, with some good information from the answer you may get. Maybe use surveymonkey than repost the question.
adamd1
My question is geared towards anyone who does renderings as a main aspect of their job; creating presentation drawings for clients.
Bundie
For me as an architectural visualiser working for myself I have found it to be up and down, you never know when or where the next job is coming from until you get the call or read the email. Best to have some savings in the bank to keep afloat during the quiet periods.

artmaknev
It is always up and down for arch-viz industry, I usually either have too much work or very little work, almost always due to the fact that project got on hold and I already told other clients that I was too busy, go figure..
