nisus
Hi all, As an extention to this thread http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?p=52895#post52895 I would like everyone to share techniques on how to make gorgious (and fast) topviews / overhead plans. All tips are welcome about using libraries, software to export tips for scale matching, adding shadows,... So basicly, what programs do you use? what workflow? how do you add entourage etc? Do you render a topview, start from a plan? Feel free to post examples too ,-)) rgds nisus
upshot
Here is a sample of a rendered plan: I used the model I was developing for this project and extruded the walls, glass,(to 4-5') and tossed in some blocky furnature. Rendered it in studio and then plotted the plan from adt to an .eps (to get lineweights). Then I overlayed the line drawing on the rendering and did some touch up in Illustrator.... Final product looks great as a .pdf or plotted since the plan data is still vector.
