stevemc
Hi all, I am looking for some 3d software that is basically capable of allowing me to render from different camera angles a design of an indoor play centre. I would need to be able to position scaffold tubes and add colour padding, add astro slides or twisty slides, deck areas, ball pitts, netting etc. The usual things you find in these places. Does anybody know what software is usually used to create this sort of thing? Preferably something that doesn't have a massive learning curve as the shapes of these things are fairly basic things to have to model i.e I'm not creating the next pixar movie. Ideally but not essential I would be able to render a video of a fly through of the finished product. Many thanks.
Matt McDonald
SketchUp is generally considered to be easy enough to learn. Without adding a 3rd party rendering engine you won't be able to achieve photorealistic results but you also won't be bogged down with learning a rendering engine. Your next option is probably 3Ds Max which is much more expensive and has a much steeper learning curve.
salvador
I'd go for Sketchup too. There are some good and free render plugins that get decent results and there's plenty of information and tutorials to get you started fast.
Krisztian Gulyas
You can go for blender. It's totally free, but you can create pretty high quality images, and there are tons of tutorials on the internet.
bilderbaurendering
hi, i would use Sketchup in your case. You can use it for free like Blender (pro version is needed only for importing and exporting). check some videos on youtube to be sure it s what you want.. good luck
