igorkrnjajic
Hi, Can anyone here tell me how I can snap my pivot point to a corner of a box? Yes I know you can snap it to the center of the object by clicking on the " Center to object" button, but I need to snap to a corner of the box, I've looked at a 100 videos none seemed to mention how to snap to any other point like a corner of the box. So, my point is, corner of the box, snap, how? Thank you
Corey Beaulieu
When you have "Adjust Pivot" turned on, the same way you would turn it on before getting to snap to center, you can move the pivot where ever you want. If snapping is the issue just right click on your snaps icon and setup snaps to include verticies. Then use the axis constraints to move the pivot to the corner. Scott Schroeder
Save yourself a million headaches and grab Neil Blevins' soulburn script package: http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_tools/soulburnscripts/soulburnscripts.htm In there is a script called PutPivot and it is a GUI based pivot snap. So you can easily snap where you need it. You can snap to all corners, center, center of faces, etc.

Finally, thank you Corey you really helped me out here Well, because you took some time off of your busy schedule to help me out a bit, I think you deserve to know what I am cooking up in my 3D storage. I am making a full scale model of my garage, which will help me know exactly how much material I need, also how much money I need. That will of course save me a lot of money because I will be doing all the work by myself. Also that garage will lead to my biggest build, a 1991, DOHC Twin Cam 1.3 liter, 16 valve, electronic fuel injection Suzuki Swift GTI engine to 1976 Mini, conversion. Now let me tell you something Corey, that thing literally eats pavement off the streets. That thing is so fast, that I actually need to consider that one day I might not get out of that beast alive. Which will ultimately lead to my death and my fatherless children and my wife becoming a single parent, basically my family will be doomed. And than you Corey my friend will look yourself in the mirror with all that guilt surrounding you and say "WHY OH WHY DID I TELL HIM HOW TO SNAP THE DAMN PIVOT POINTS!?" Ha, hope you enjoyed a little joke Thanks again! P.S. You shall also get a "like" from me
