Roodogg
Hi Everyone. Not posted here in ages! Got a really strange problem with the IR map on a flythrough! Any help would be appreciated greatly. I attach a pic with some horrible IR on the ceiling. My settings are Lightcache for secondary (This is computing fine) IR map - multiframe incremental, every 10th frame. I tested with single frame obviously and it renders fine. Any ideas? Using 3ds Max 2010, Vray 1.5 SP6.
Chris MacDonald
Try it on every 8th frame and see if it improves. If it does, but still persists, try it on every 5th frame. Alternatively, try higher settings on the IR map.
Roodogg
Hi Chris. Thanks for your help. Currently trying this camera on Animation Prepass mode. Though I've had flickering problems with this in the past, I'm hoping that the 'Animation - High' Preset will work. If this fails, I'll try again with multiframe Inc using what you have suggested. Again, thanks for your help. On a separate note, always interested in speaking to UK based artists. Do you have a portfolio / company site? Roodogg
Good work - agree you should finish some of it! I presume you're an architect also with Roberts LimBrick? Back to the problem... Seems that Multiframe Incremental with 'Use Camera Path' is the problem. Using Animation Prepass / Rendering made my final frames take an age to render so had to cancel that. Now trying Multi inc without 'Use Camera Path' checked. Hopefully no flickering. What a bind! Edited January 22, 2013 by Roodogg
