Brick Textures

I am working on a project of a high end home in the Tudor style. I need to have several different patterns of brick in various stacked patterns like herringbone, etc. Is there a program that will make brick textures and make them in these types of configs? I came across Bricks n Tiles but it looks a little dated and I use Acme brick to get nice images of running and soldier courses but I am curious if there is something out there that will do wild patterns also.

I usually bite the bullet and make the textures myself. I have a template that I use that has the grout and color variation already set up and all I need to do is add in the color.

 

I created the template by creating the brick pattern in Max and rendering out a 4kx4k image that gives me easy masking tools for the grout and brick areas as well as different shades to control color variation if needed.

I also bite the bullets several times with this, but there is some pretty good scripts/software around such, Bercon maps, mightytiles and vizpark walls & Tiles that can works for what you need.

MightyTiles is perfect, except I am not using Max. I need something thats more of a texture generator that is standalone.

I use Modo and cinema 4D too, so I guess Brick n Tiles is your best option, in MODO you have a random script that may work but not sure what is your workflow

I use Acme Brick as well and make my own patterns if it's flemish, english, herringbone, etc...

I'm gonna have to try out MightyTiles and Brick n Tiles, thanks.

I use Acme a lot. Its the best thing I have right now. How do you make herringbone patterns in their software though? Or do you take the textures and make your pattern in Photoshop?

I take those textures into photoshop to create any pattern not supported by Acme. Unfortunately that's anything besides a stack and running bond.
