Dimitris Tolios
I don't know why you would want a laptop in conjunction with a 30" and a cintiq...hardly a "compact" setup. I believe you can build a much more powerful ITX tower, based on desktop components with a Quadro 4000 or even better, for far less money than either a high end Dell or MBP 17". Keep in mind that Apple has nothing even close to that Quadro, which yes, it is the top of the line offering for laptops workstation cards atm. There are no customisable MBPs. In the new gen even HDD (SSD) and RAM are soldered on the mobo. You could build a Hackintosh (PC running MacOS), which is actually a pretty popular option for many users, as Mac Pro towers are kinda outdated and overpriced - especially for their age. Back in the m-ITX idea, thing of a Silverstone SUGO or Lian Li PC-TU200case, a Z77 itx board from Asrock or Asus, a 3770K (which you can even OC), and your choice of full length GPU - it can do 4000/5000/6000/K5000 - w/e your budget allows. If you plan on O/C the CPU, a Noctua NH-C12 cooler fits and works a charm. Close loop W/C units are a bit cramped, but you an fit a H80 with one of the 2 fans and work just as well. Not nearly as compact as a laptop, yes, but we are talking real desktop performance, up to 32GB of RAM etc. Remember also that the Dell laptop will have a 3lb power brick to haul along with it.
