Tomoflog
I am working on a residential exterior with a deadline soon approaching. I spent alot of time on this scene to get things the way i wanted and now fore some reason it will not render. It goes thru the FG process fine and renders to about 20-30 percent and then it just stops. If you try to render again it crashes. I have tried it on 2 systems so i know its not the PC. I tried deleting the high mesh trees and anything else that i thought might be screwing it up. I pretty new at this so don't rag on me too hard for my methods please. Here is a link to the file. let me know if it works or suggest another method. Thanks https://www.yousendit.com/download/UW13bGtIcHZGR0htcXNUQw I am using Max 2013 Win 7 64 I7-3770k 16gb ram forest pack lite 396 for my grass. Mental Ray w/ mr daylight system. I also have a couple evermotion trees in the scene Oh ya, it will render on a low resolution with high image precision or high res with low IP... cg_Butler
I'm afraid I can't open it! Only MAX 2012. :-(
Devin Johnston
Unfortunately I'm using Max 2012 as well but why don't you try merging the entire scene into a new file that may help.
Tomoflog
Thanks for the replies guys. I have tried merging and xreffing and ended up with the same problem. I think I am all set now though. I selected my grass and a few other objects i needed and saved them as a new scene file. Then imported those into a fresh model of the house. No problems so far. I am still curious to see what is causing the problem or if maybe anyone else has encountered this. If anyone is bored and feels like downloading a trial 2013 max to open the file then please do. You would also need Forest pack lite. Thanks again!
Tomoflog
Here is a an Image after some work in PS. What do you guys think. I could really use some constructive ctiticism from someone besides my wife!
Devin Johnston
It looks good but a little washed out to me, maybe some contrast and saturation would help.
