mattlewis
What software do you mostly use? I've been using Cinema 4d for modeling and Vray for C4D for rendering, but I'm trying to find something better for modeling. Would you recommend a CAD software? I see people using Autocad, Revit, and Sketchup, but is there different uses between these? I come from more of a motion graphics background so I'm not too familiar with CAD programs. Any input helps!
Krisztian Gulyas
I've been using Max+mental ray for 2 years and Max+Vray for almost a year now and I can say it's perfect for me (I'm using AutoCAD too, but actually just for drawing the floor plans, not for modeling). I'm not a pro, just a student, but I think it's the best (Max).... everybody has their own favorites though, so I say you should try it and see it for yourself . Max isn't really for precise modeling, if you need a very precise model, then you should get Autocad for example.
