Description:

Hey guys I havent posted any thing in here in some time. I been starting things back up and thought I might

get some ideas on what I have so far. I have 3 ideas of things I would like to create and this is the first

one.

It's just a basic white room with 3 large windows and some furniture. I got tired of texturing so a few

things still need that. I just wanted to light it and see what I had going. So here is what I have. I like

the way the plant casts it's shadows over the couch.

I also modeled this all my self except for the plant. I believe it came from a 3DWorld pack.

Any ideas, critiques are welcomed. Im still planning on adding a few things to the upper shelf and some sort

of sidewalk or some thing to the out side window area.

Also a few settings

Photographic Exp

Shutter Speed - 2.0

Aperture - 9.5

Fild Speed - 100

Highlight - 0.25

Midtones - .8

Shadows - .25

Im rendering at a low setting thats what the crap rez by the way.

GI Photon samples - 2500

Max radius 1"

The rendering is really nice, so is the modeling. I can't see anything I would change except I keep wondering why the image is to cropped on the couch, I want to see more of the room. Also the rug on the bottom seems like it needs to be worked on texturally. Good lighting and materials though. Nice base molding and I like that you even included the electric wire for the lamp :)

The whole composition of this shot will look better if the image weren't cropped so much, like Adrien said, wider camera lens, or move the camera back.

The carpet in front of the couch should have more detail, try fur or displacement.

Hey guys thanks :) I had to test on some things for work so havent had time to check here. I'll see what I can do about pulling the camera back some. The carpet....yea... I tried a few things for that until I got what I have. I was going with a short short fur to it and it just never seemed to want to look right. I didnt try displacement though. Maybe thats the thing to try

well unfortunately this field still isnt exactly hiring. Especially in Florida. I have friends in Denver and big Arch Firms but they cant help me out because they are worried about their jobs still. I use to see lots of postings every month....now I see maybe 2 or 3 in Florida a month.
