patrickparr
Hi all, I'm currently working on a project for a smart clothing boutique, a young brand that wants to stand out. So, I was thinking about using led appliques as the main illumination for this shop. I already found some, but I thought that maybe some of you know/already used this kind of illumination and its applications... any suggestions? Thanks! xEndlessxUrbiax
I've used similar things in a rendering. For me, they were located in a ceiling alcove, so that you don't see the fixture. I just used a self illuminating material. I'm not sure if that's the best way to do it but the results were good. I dont think this kind of lighting is good as the only lighting in the space. Usually they are used as accents around the perimeter of the space and such. You might get more responses if you let us know what you are using to render, and maybe if you have the space modeled already you can show us a screen shot. jackjpiccoli
Hi, well, that's a nice idea: I've seen it used in some shops and showrooms, and it always stroke me for its being simple yet efficient in lighting and especially in highlighting, as Adrien says. I've never used them in my projects, though… not yet!
leemanet
Hey there. I think it might be a good idea, easily adjustable to your needs. I've used some of these lights in past projects, and they've always been a good solution, pretty flexible too. One of my personal favourites is Sheet Led by Martini Group, as it's really uniform and higly customizable. Check it out on their website, images speak more than words ;-)
patrickparr
Thank you all for your suggestions! Lee I checked the lights you said and yes, they could be useful for my project… I also found some other lamps that could be perfect to highlight some particulars and some angles, great job! bindunarayan
Great idea indeed. The use of LED lighting can certainly help your client to standout among its competitors provided that none of the competitors have used that particular lighting element for designing their clothing boutique! Stephen Thomas
Wow, suddenly I feel the need to rush out and buy me some LED lighting. The power of advertising! ¬_¬
