Dimitris Stasis
Hello everyone, After 12 years of working as an architect and visualizer, both in-house in various practices and by getting jobs on my own, I've decided to get serious about freelancing in architectural visualization. I am currently building a portfolio website with a selection of 30-40 projects and I intend to chase jobs abroad. Does any of you get any jobs from other countries? If yes, would you like to share the way you found those clients? Advertizing emails, phone calls, posting brochures, some other strategy? Or did the clients approach you by finding your website, get recommendations about you from a colleague, seeing your work published etc? Another important aspect is communication. Supposing that language is not an issue, is distance a factor that discourages firms from outsourcing visualizations to someone with whom they will speak only by phone, skype and emails? Thanks for sharing, D.S.
