samiulhaque
Hi! I m a 2nd year student of an architectural school in Bangladesh & this is my first post in this forum. I use AutoCAD 2012 for 2D graphics. I have recently started learning 3ds Max (2013) for modeling. I ll be using Vray or Mental ray for rendering. I m also interested in Lumion. Which GPU should I buy? My Current Specs: Core i7 2600 3.4GHz with Stock Cooler MSI Z68A-GD55 B3 2*4GB Apacer Ares DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz (9-11-9-27) Samsung 500GB 7200RPM HDD Thermaltake Toughpower 600w PSU Philips 191EL 18.5" LED Monitor (1366*768) My maximum budget is only 200$ Considering the budget, I might go for a second hand card as well. So what should I look for? Years old entry level Quadro/FireGL or GeForce/Radeon? And why? As i m a noob, I'd be very much pleased if anyone can kindly explain me the individual impacts of GPU Clock speed, Memory size, Memory clock speed, Bandwidth, Texel rate, Pixel rate on the overall performances of these software. dhammikaherath
Try to buy NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti (2 GB). I think it will be around USD 220. I'm not sure about the price in Bangladesh. If it is expensive there, you can try the site which I imported my card. http://www.excaliberpc.com/624537/asus-vcx-90yv03r1-m0na00-gtx650-ti.html GTX 650 Ti USD 162 + 50 (delivery) = Total USD 212. (Beware about the importing TAX in your country) Edited April 2, 2013 by dhammikaherath
