xEndlessxUrbiax
Anyone know a way to convert my materials that are applied as "color by material" in the layers toolbar to actual painted on materials? Besides going in and repainting everything.
byoungsooahn
Adrien, No way in SketchUp. If you want to export model to MAX, it's possible. Under 3DS Export Options, you can tick "Use Color By Layers materials" Hope it works for you.
xEndlessxUrbiax
Yeah I've seen that option. The problem is it's a model created by someone else who uses Kyrkethea for rendering so that is the modeling technique they use. I'm not even using to render, it's part of another model we have and we don't want the layers/materials to be messy. I've seen tons of forums with people having this problem. Although I know absolutely nothing about making scripts or plugins, it seems like it would be relatively easy to do.
M V
So if you go to your Materials in SketchUp there are none setup? I used to use Kerkythea and I never heard of this method. You needed materials applied to the model to get materials in Kerk. There may be a script. Try SketchUcation, Smustard.com, then http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/
