daniellamb
First I would just like to say hi! And that I'm happy I came upon this site. There is some really great information here! So I have a issue I am trying to work out, and I am hoping someone here can help me with it. I am trying to create an environment that I can place behind my models that won't take away from the overall structure, and won't create significantly larger rendering times. I do not want to base it off a flat image, because there will need to be multiple shots of different angels. I am attaching an image as an example. Any help of how I can produce this effect would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
anejo
A simple studio lighting set up with a light gray background would be my suggestion. I've done a lot of exhibit booths, both still and animation, and since exhibits are more of a product its sometime best to present it as such. What 3d software are you using? and what do plan to render this out with?
angiliaduan1
If you don't want this image looked too flat, changing lighting should be the easiest way. Btw,if your render time is too long for you, maybe some render farm could help.
daniellamb
I completely agree, and actually this is how I have been producing my renderings for years. However, we have a new creative director at work and they would like to see us incorporate this new look. As for 3d software, we are running Autodesk 3d Max 2013, and I specifically use mental ray, we have others that use scanline still though.
atitmistry
hi, you don't tell which software & render engine you r using. but if you use max & vray I suggest that: 1 take background color grey 2 take vray light only one & set its intensity around 8 to 10. 3 For Render settings, use this link: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-3d-studio-max/studio-rendering-with-3ds-max-and-vray/
