Win 7 vs Win 8

Recommended Posts

There was a thread just a few days ago in general discussions. http://forums.cgarchitect.com/73227-win7-vs-win8.html

Personally, Windows 8 isn't very good if you are using it as a workstation. I won't adopt it until they give the user the ability to turn off the tile menu and get the start menu back without the use of a 3rd party app. If you have a touchscreen monitor and don't do any real work except play Cut the Rope, then it is awesome.

Max 2013 is the only version to be officially supported on windows 8, so that may play a factor if you haven't upgraded it.
