My graduation project;

Hello everyone,

For my graduation project, I've to create a 2:00 shortfilm. We are two on this project. But.. that's not the point of this post here :)

In the animatic we created earlier in the year (wich you cant see here:

), I've an underground (subway) sequence to make. (@ 01:30 +-)

So. Here is my problem:

This tunnel is pretty dark since there is no sunlight directly lighing my scene. Only a bunch of artificial lights.. I always had problems rendering this kind of scene.

A picture is worth a thousand words so here is a render I made to show you the problem:

Actually I'm looking at it, and the lighing ain't good anyway BUT, do you see those light leaks in the corners, and white dots and what not? How do you guys, get rid of them?!

I presume it's because I don't have a lot of lights, and the GI has problem to solve small details area.?!

Thx for you time guys!

Mhh you're right. I'll give it a try.

I think I've found the problem.. I tried to illuminate my scene with Vraylightmtl but it really is weird. I'm giving a try here with vraylight (mesh) and it seems way better. I'll come in a few moment with an update!

Here is an other render.. much brighter. And I still have this kind of "artifact" on the left side.

I don't know if I'm doing it all right but here are my settings:

If you have any suggestions, please.. suggest! :D

(btw, sry for my english.. sometimes I can speak weird as it's not my mother tongue; feel free to correct me :) )

I think those bright blobs are specular light bounces from some reflective/glossy material, maybe your light cans/equipment

Yep, this is my guess too. Probably your chrome is doing it. Turn on sub-pixel mapping and clamp output and see if that fixes it. If not, try to use something less that 255 white on your reflect to see if it's that random occurrence.

When you get spots like that, it is always best practice to render out a gray override material pass so remove your materials from your scene. If you still get it, then it's your lights/settings. If you don't get that spot with the override, then it's a material.
