Install 3ds Max 2011 and 2013 in same machine

I can't seem to find any way to do this, but I have a need to install both 3ds Max 2011 and 2013 on the same machine.

I'm doing a laptop review and just purchased SPECapc's 3ds Max benchmark (at a cost of $495 I might add!) only to find out not only will it not work without 3ds Max installed, but it needs 3ds Max 2011 to be installed! Would be nice if they actually mentioned this on their website.

When I try to run the installer is just says there is a newer version already installed and needs to be removed first.

Any one else have any ideas or solutions?

I've never gone backwards, but going forwards I can install multiple copies of Max on my machine. I've got 2011-2014 at the one at work. I know when you try to go backwards, the backburner app forces you to uninstall the existing copy of backburner.

I'd uninstall 2013, install 2011 then install 2013 and see if that works.

As it turns out, this stupid SPECapc app (http://www.spec.org/gwpg/apc.static/max2011info.html) will only work with 3ds Max, not 3ds Max Design. Already received a refund. If you are going to charge $500 for a benchmark app, at least make it easy to use and not require actually having the app installed. Why on earth they or Autodesk (who collaborated on this benchmark) did not think to include the DLLs in the app to allow it to run autonomously is beyond me. I guess this is what happens when you allow scientists and developers to market products....Good grief...
