I'm in need of a laptop which can run autocad, revit, sketch up, photoshop, 3d max and other archi programs. I saw dell m4700 and all the reviews I saw says it's good but the core i7 8gb is expensive, I saw it here http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/precision-m4700/pd can somebody explain the difference among the 3? Can you recommend other laptop with good specs?

Important things I consider:

1.) not more than a $1000

2.) it can run all the said archi programs and will not hang

3.) battery life

4.) good graphics since I will do rendering

5.) enough storage because maybe I'll use outside hard drive to store my files

6.) 15" or larger

That's all. Thank you in advance:))

What is your timeframe for the purchase? If soon, I would recommend to wait a few weeks for Haswell to show up.

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro with Ivy Bridge and it can run all of those programs well, but it only has 4GB of RAM. Haswell with it's updated IGP and 8GB of RAM should be able to run those apps even better.
