45 angle do not match

Hello there

 

i am trying to make a molding and i have to cut at a angle of 45 degree

I use the slice tool .

But when i try to match it with another cut part . It does not match ?

i have really made a cut of 45 degree

What am i missing ?

Are your pivots all aligned? If you put a slice plane on an object with a wonky pivot, 45 degrees is going to include the wonky angle.

what do you mean by align ?

How to remove that wonky pivot ?

do you use the center to objet to align the pivot ?

if yes , i have try that and still not working ...

i you definitly do not have a 45° cut here. Maybe der is some non-uniform scale on the object...

Why not just try cutting it flat, collapsing to edit poly and extending the verts out a bit further. Then you can use the symmetry modifier to wrap a corner and keep it all as one object.
