My viewport gizmo ha vanished!

Hi all.

 

Can anyone please tell me how I can get my viewport gizmo back!! It's turned on in the preferences, but alas, it had decided to disappear for the last few days. It's always been there and when i accidentally turn it off the the keyboard short cut ( which I can't remember!) I just go back to my preference and turn it on.

 

Now I can't for the lif of me figure out why it won't show. I've changed the display settings from Nitrous to OpenGL and Direct 3D and have had absolutely no joy!

 

3dsmax 2013 64 bit.

 

Very annoying! I've not posted on the Aread :: Discussions as yet. If noone can come up with an answer I will post there next!

If that doesn't work you can delete your 3dsmax.ini file...

 

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\enu\3dsmax.ini

 

you will lost your custom menus and things, so maybe back up the ini first to make sure that works.

Neither Option works.........I also deleted the one in programs files.....could there be a third one somewhere!? Nightmare.

 

EDIT: There was a third one! Program Files\Autodesk\3dsMax2013\en-US

 

I deleted that one and hey presto. Gizmo is back! :-) Thanks for the suggestion Mark it lead me in the right direction.

 

Now I just need to figure our why the heck it vanished. There must be a weird tick box somewhere!
