victorchan
Does anyone know why the reflection of the glass on my render from sketchup by using vray got a strange reflection? I had uploaded a test render, normal screen shot and the setting of my glass in vray. Please help!!!
cg_Butler
Just a stab in the dark as I don't use Sketchup, but I do use Vray. Giv your glass object a realistic thickness. It looks like Vray thinks your entire glass object is as think as your space is, which looks like a few metres. If you give it a thickness of say 15mm it might fix your problem as Vray will know your glass is 15mm thick rather than 4 or 5 metres thick. michaeljorjjorj
make ur reflection rate much more. i mean the black color! make it gray . and u have left the refraction part pure white. make it gray too.
Chris MacDonald
Your glass needs a thickness. Reflection and refraction should be pure white, and you should have Fresnel reflections ticked.
M V
To simplify your life, I would get rid of the refraction layer altogether and just make simple thin glass. It should be black diffuse with 100 opacity and a reflection layer set to Fresnel. Change your IOR for higher reflectivity and if you want to simulate glass with a coating, just change your diffuse color and opacity a little.
