There are some trees in the backyard. What do you guys think? How could I improve these images?
jameswelch
To me, the trees and the grass in the foreground look great! Are these rendered in Max or post- processed afterwards? If they are from Max, I would be very pleased with the grass. Maybe you just need to 'dirty' your textures up a little bit for the houses, they look a little flat at the minute and the 4th building along from the left looks like an identical clone to the 2nd building which detracts from the realism. The people in the 2nd image look very 'CG' too but maybe this was the effect you were looking for? Not far off though
jonasthomas
Hey James, Thanks for your comments! The grass was done in Max. :-) I understand what you are saying about the textures of the houses looking a bit flat. Maybe I can 'dirty' them a bit in photoshop? I'm always a bit hesitant on how to make walls "dirty" with new houses. Good comment about the two buildings looking like an identical clone. This is something I will remember. Yes, indeed, the people look pretty "CG" but it doesn't really bother me, to be honnest. Or maybe I should start using photos so clients can recognize themselves better in the pictures... Something to think about... Thanks!!
andstef
hello, maybe you could try a little motion blur (faked in post) with the people to hide the CG-ish look.
jonasthomas
That might be a good idea! Thanks!
