mikebolton
I have installed vray 2.40.03 for max 2014. But I am having the problem of not being able to drag vray materials from the material slot to an object. I also can't just attach them. Items such as vray colour don't show up on a sphere in the mat ed as they should, it appears as a flat colour filling up the box slot. Vray has obtained the license and I have assigned vray as the material editor standard. Any help would be much appreciated!
anejo
Unless you have some "special build", I don't believe there's a vray version out for max14.
Chris MacDonald
Apparently the SDK/whatever for max wasn't changed in this release, so 2013 plugins should all run; you may just have to manually select their install locations. I know one of the guys in our office got VRay and Forest Pro running on 2014 no problem, so I don't think that is necessarily the issue here. mikebolton
okay I will try that, any idea how you manually select their install locations? In the plug in info, I just noticed it is saying DLL is not loaded (for example vray color, vray physical cam)
mikebolton
Does anyone know how to load up the DLL's?
notamondayfan
I'm running vray and forest pro on max 2014 fine here. When you install the plugins you just manually change the instal location to 2014. Do all the other features of vray work ok?
