Just wanted to introduce myself to the community with my first attempt at some arch vis. I'm currently trying to break into the arch vis sector, moving away from the games industry. I've been given some great advice from other members of this forum to jump in at the deep end and try and produce an image for the architectural awards. Having such a tight deadline to get something together is great to push me to learn, and learn quick!! Anyways I've spent the past day collecting images for mood boards, and I've almost got my block out finished. A few last objects to finish off then onto getting my head round V-Ray. I've started to think about lighting and the feel of what I want to aim for. So far I'm thinking of a dusk setting, with the main light focusing the eye on the back porch area. This project is really to get used to V-Ray and its materials so I'm not going crazy with props. But any thoughts, crits and suggestions would be great. So thank you in advance and thanks for looking.
