davidplumb
Hey, I'm a 3rd year architecture student and I have a self directed elective this semester and was interested in doing something in architectural visualization/rendering or 3D programs, for example architectural presentation today vs before computer modeling. I was wondering if anyone has any specific ideas or knows of any sites etc. where I could narrow down my elective query down. I basically want a topic where i can learn as much as possible about rendering/photoshop/and presentation techniques as possible.
Ernest Burden III
Go for the art. That's where you will find the passion and a direction. Otherwise, it's all just tech and somebody's going to be better and cheaper at that anyway. So... look up books on traditional media rendering. My father wrote a few, and there are some others that are great. Computers are just another pencil, don't miss the historical context of visualizing architectural ideas. 'Rendering, Photoshop and presentation techniques" are about HOW you say something. What do you want to say?
