cg_Butler
Hi all. Is it possible to install Vray for multiple versions of 3dsmax? When I run the Vray installer, it says a version is already installed and needs to be deleted. I did a test and ok that, but now vray only works for max 2014 and not 2013. Is it possible to have it installed for both? 1
notamondayfan
Are you trying to use Max 2013 and 2014 at the same time? I think until Chaos Group release a version of Vray for 2014, you'll probably just have to have one or the other, as I presume you're using the vray 2013 install, but manually changing the directory? Once vray release it for 2014, you can have vray on both versions of Max.
cg_Butler
Yes exactly that scenario Dean. It makes sense I suppose.
notamondayfan
In the end I moved completely to 2014 so it isn't really a problem for me. If for what ever reason I need to go back to 2013, vray installs in a few minutes anyway, so I would just re-install it. Dean
cg_Butler
Hey Dean. If you didn't know, there are seperate installers now for the latest build of VRay for 2013 and 2014. So I assume they can both be installed together now. (If you ever wanted to dip back in to a 2013 file and render it) :
notamondayfan
Yea I saw that a while back, but to be honest I haven't opened 2013 since installing 2014! Might un-install it to be honest!
