danielromo
Hello Im new here and i have a huge problem with vray Im not really shure why vray is doing this but im sure someone from this forum will know i will put 2 images the first one is while vray is building the light cache and the render seems to look ok but when the light cache is over and the prepasses begin (2nd image) the trees and almost all the scene change in color and tone Does anybody know why does this happens ??? and how can i fix it ? Corey Beaulieu
Why is this a problem? You only use the final render so what difference does it make if the light cache tone is off? But the light cache stage is for creating a map for where and how much light goes into each pixel with the color information. Then Irradiance comes along and assesses geometry with color and interpolates based on your settings as to where edges and details go within the pixel grid. Final, color/tone mapping gets applied and every pixel gets compressed into its final state. This is a horrible explanation I think, but the gist is right. In the end, Light Cache gives you a good sense of exposure and general look, but it is not going to be a final render on its own.
Chris MacDonald
^ Exactly. You judge your colours & lighting on the final render, not the prepasses.
