How are lights done in skyscrapers??? Right now I am using vray plane lights, but as you can see, it comes out in splotches and vray sphere light is even worse. I've spent hours and hours trying to align the lights and it still comes out weird. I cant use the lampshade technique because the project requires the floorplates to be revealed. I have not tried making vray light material into the ceiling but is that the way to do it? You can see espesically in the mid, its all blotches... And even if the lighting is fixed, I feel I am missing something...
cg_Butler
I like it as it is!
driedgrape
I think it looks great. I reckon slightly varying the color and intensity of the plane lights would add to it.

Justin Hunt
put your lights on the floor and point them up. The rain needs work as its too uniform now and it doesn't interact with the buildings. Add lights to the car headlights, maybe a flair? I like where its going jhv
harryhirsch
Good job, you could play with the light color. IMHO the fullmoon takes the attention away and reminds me on vampire movies. Also the windows in the building next to the tower could use some (faked) light? yes and as Justin said car lights..perhaps a street light. And for a tower like that you need to make clear where the entrance is ( yes it is actualy a design issue)
heni30
I think the right building is angled too much. The lone girl walking by is making the building look threatening and ominous. Her small size is making the stories look too tall. I would blur the ceiling wall lines so that it doesn't look like bare empty rooms - it starts to feel like a parking garage. But the lighting is working, which was your original question.
