Cesar R
I know that during post processing is when the renders start to really take shape. I am very curious as to what is typically tweaked and what are some techniques. I know this is very vague post, bit I am hoping to be steered in the right direction. Just to give you all a little bit of background, all I typically do is Brightness and Contrast, and come color balance. I have seen screenshots however with multiple layer duplicated and masks? . This makes me wonder if there are things I am not doing that should be done.
beestee
Some people prefer to be very close to the final result in a raw rendering, others spend more time in Photoshop adding depth and detail, some use render passes that can break out the components that make up a rendering for much finer tuning, such as lighting, reflections, and ambient occlusion. It is really all up to personal preference, and striking your own balance. If you like books, Photoshop for 3d Artists - Vol 1 is pretty great at showing different uses of post-pro techniques for different purposes, and by different artists.
