Stephen Hughes
Hi there, Does anyone know if there is a global option in vray materials where i can tick the 'trace reflections' and 'trace refractions' tabs on all scene materials without having to go into each material individually. I have a large scene with hundreds of materials, and all was rendering up well, then i'm not sure what i pressed but now all the materials have the two tickboxes under 'options' in the material editor unticked when beforehand they were ticked. And now the glass, metal, leather and all the other materials do not reflect. Is my only option to go into each of the many scene materials and manually tick the two options back on?? Does anyone know what i might have done wrong to globally tick them off? Thanks in advance. Stevie.
Chris MacDonald
Download olly's Vray Material Control script. It is AMAZING and can control all vray materials globally.
Corey Beaulieu
Does anyone know what i might have done wrong to globally tick them off? . If you used the Vray Scene Converter you need to tick on "Turn on Trace Reflection on Standard Materials"
Stephen Hughes
Chris, You're a life-saver! That script is great and done the trick in a few clicks, saving me hours & hours of mindless box-ticking. Cheers. And Corey, yeah i sort of realised it must have been that scene converter although all my materials were already vray so not sure why it altered them too. Anyway, lesson learnt. Thanks again. Stevie.
