problem with aligning/centering objects , shapes, ...

Hi Guys,

 

I ran into a problem.

When I import an DWG file into max and I align it to 0,0,0 (right clicking on the spinners below the viewport). doing this because most of the plans I receive are drawn far away from origin.

This is something I always did an never had problems with. but now something is different.

When you save the file, (with the plan aligned in the center) and you want to re-open the file . max just freezes and i get an error from windows that the program stopped working.

 

My guess there was something bad with the plan. But with even simple geometry (box or sphere) the same error occurs. and even with a vertex aligned to the center.

 

the file does open perfect in Max 2013. then they down-save it and I can get it back open in 2011. saving again and reopen in 2011 . the error is back.

 

I've tried to google for it. but no succes.

 

Just before I re-install...

Does someone also encountered this problem?

And maybe found the cause of it?

Please let me know.

 

I run max 2011 64bit.

Win 7 64.
