Sketchrender
I have moved office and am having an issue with network rendering. Spawner is running fine, and the computers can see each other. The 2 machines are pinging fine, but I get the following. Warning:Could not connect to host X.X.X.XX.XXXXX: no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Any idea what the issue is. I am thinking the new office network security. Help would be appreciated. Thank you . phil
John Dollus
sounds like a firewall issue or local AV blocking port access.
Sketchrender
AV ? I have turned off the firewall, but still can't get it to allow access. Max is running under the spawned also.
Tommy L
Did you try starting the spawner as administrator? If its W7 then turn off the permissions thingamyjigger.
Bruce Hart
Was it the Windows Firewall you turned off (as opposed to your third party Virus scanner/firewall)? We have had cases where an automatic Windows update has caused the Windows firewall to activate and block spawners all of a sudden. When you tried to ping, was it from the render machine to your workstation, and then vice versa?
