Hi, im trying to render my model (please kindly see image attachment), and as soon as "building light cache" reach after several minutes, 3ds max suddenly closes.. I've already made my vray settings into the lowest possible that can fit my model.. still the same thing happens.. Is my model that heavy already? Im not using any displacement modifiers, HDRI.. My materials are just plain vray dirtmaps/bitmaps.. What do you think has caused the problem?

Is it because of RAM? My laptop only has 3gb ram installed.. win7.. I know thats very unfortunate of me..

I've rendered several interiors already and it did fine, this is my first exterior render.. and its not working well..

Please do help me.. PLEASE.

Can be memory, can be a big texture loading, can be a non VRay material, raytracer or something estrange.

I'll recommend to debug your scene, hide everything but selected objects and try to render separate, until you find the one that is bugging you, if everything render fine separate, then there is a big chance that it is memory.

Try to use instances as much as possible, collapse mesh and modifiers, those cabins looks pretty similar to me if they are identical or just mirrored, I would proxy one, if problems stills, you may ned to render your scene by parts and compose later, Foreground landscaping, Background Landscaping, Cabins and details.
