komyali
1.Ok here is what is happening, have leaf with jpeg map 2000x2000 but when I put opacity 100 to cut outer pice of leaf my whole leaf become little transparent like refraction is on 50 but it is 0 ( polygon is just one sided) but when I put shell modifier 0,01 outside everything change and it become ok. 2.material on fliped polygon is not ok 3. refraction on one sided polygon doesnt have good transparency if it is not 2 sided. 4.when I put shell modifier 0,01 and convert to Poly lets say plane, one side that new geomety is ok but other is flipped, how to select all flipped polygons at once (model have 1000 polygons 50% are flipped)? (Fliped polygon is dark red when selected, normal polygon is just red )
Tommy L
Sounds liek maybe your laeves are coplanar. Try secting one poly at su-object level and delete. If you have a poly still there then thats your problem. If no then you could try using a 2 sided material and see if that helps. Difficult to tell whats happening without a visual reference. komyali
these are 4 diferent questions for the first one here are two pictures first one have shell modifier 0,01 and jpeg 2000x2000 but it was too dark on renders and in output RGB multiplyer is 2 and RGB output is 3, why it doesnt render normal as map I have no idea... second picture leaf is just plane 2x10 bent a little and with same material as first one Good thing is that I found solution but I have no idea why is this happening. 2,3,4 are different questions
RyderSK
I think your maps are problematic. Opacity maps should be pure-black (0/255 RGB), if they are, aren't they accidentaly loaded with wrong gamma ? Maybe post miniatures of those maps to judge. Your leaf should be thin geometry only, no shell. And you should use Vray2sided mat. The whole setup is pretty straight-forward, so you either have wrong geo (not sure how plane can go even wrong though..) or wrong material with wrong maps. komyali
opacity is pure black and white just checked, two sided vray material still have opacity shell modifier is only help P.S. This is something with opacity map... Edited July 1, 2013 by komyali

Can you try thin geometry here is alpha, I still think it is inpossible with vray to do thin gemoetry for alpha opacity and refraction...
