gabrielaaldazoro
Hi, I'm having trouble with the Vray Sky and Glass. The part of the sky that is through the glass has the natural shade if you will, but the areas that are not behind glass, simply look white. I've reset all the lightning options and the Glass material and It still has the same problem. I've tried using the VRAY Sun, a direct light, and just environment light and still looks the same way. In the picture below I'm using VRAY sky with VRAY exposure control and VRAY Sun. With VRAY environment to just 1,0 and Global Illumination on. The refraction on the glass material is white with Color +Alpha and Affect Shadows on. And If I delete the VRAY Sky it ends up looking like the last picture (called Sol2) Please Help Edited July 4, 2013 by gabrielaaldazoro
RyderSK
That's because you're not using VraySky. You have turned-on GI overright, with light blue color, so this is your "Sky". With VraySky it is white because that's how it is naturally exposed. The second is blue, because you're set such color, and it simply doesn't have the intensity of the VraySky. Uncheck GI override. Anyway, don't experiment with something you don't understand yet. Reset everything. Put VraySun into scene, it will give you VraySky automatically and should be correct straight on.
