Easy.

Use a geosphere. Add an edit Poly and in a front or side viewport select the vertices along one of the wonky edges and scale it in the y axis.

HERE is an example maxfile saved in 2012. If you need an earlier version let me know.

Thank you Andy!

I already tried that, but what you get is disturbed mash, for some more precise work.

Look at this, please, as you can see, from the top it is somehow penthagon!

Also, from the front view there are some small deformation.

Perhaps, for the 4 segments it is almost OK, but for 5, I am not so shore.

Yes

I noticed it distorted in a few places but thought it might be acceptable. Have you tried arraying? Perhaps draw a triangle to start with and place it's pivot point as if it was the center of the sphere (You could dray another geosphere that the right size and align the triangles pivot to it.. You'd get precise results if you know the exact scale. Then do a 3D array and see what happens! Do you know what happens on the top of that building. Can you see it on google earth? That might help. Or obtain more references of it.

Use a regular old Sphere. Place an Edit Poly modifier on it. Select all faces and in the Graphite Modelling Tools there is a Generate Topology menu under Polygon Modelling. Choose Diagrid. The Sphere is now made from Diagonal Quads. If you then use a Front View and select the Verticies in horizontal groups (one row at a time) you can hit Connect and get your straight horizontals with triangular faces.

Experiment with lower segments, but it should work.
