cg_Butler
Hi all, small problem with a render from last night that i don't really have time to re-render. All is fine, except my anti-aliasing setting was set to fixed, instead of my usual Adaptive DMC. (This occurred due to a problem with RPManagers preview settings) I now have a render with no anti-aliasing and wondered if anyone can give me any suggestions of how to add anti-aliasing in post. I have CS6 Production Suite at my disposal. Has anyone successfully achieved a good result without a re-render?
RyderSK
There is little choice to do to outside of down-resing atleast to half of original resolution. You could blur it slightly and blur the edges but, not much else I know about. You could also try some funny stuff like up-sizing using some smart filter like fractal resizing (plugin) then bluring slightly, then down-sampling to much smaller (1:4) ratio. But it would propably keep the artifacts. No magic there sadly.
cg_Butler
I wasn't hopeful. I've never found a way in 16 years of doing this simply and quickly. I was clutching at straws. I will just re-render it! The only way is to use the wire frame element and load in selections of objects and do some selective blurring to edges i guess, but it would take me longer than a re-render so no point!
