nicolastoubia
Ok, so i just wanted to know if you wanted to use a real life photo then add something in 3D, how do you give your object shadows on the ground plane of the image? would you need to place some sort of "invisible" plane to allow the shadow to cast? How can you achieve this in Vray.
Corey Beaulieu
Yes. and that is just how you do it. If you place your 3D on a plane that is set tp Alpha -1 with Affect Shadows and Affect Alpha ticked, a Tiff with stored alpha (or something similar) will leave your shadow and remove the rest. Occasionally the alpha is not very clean, but if you adjust the gamma with a levels adjustment on your alpha channel you can remove the gritty bits. Make sure, though, that your image is properly camera matched.
