Chris MacDonald
There's a new website called google that is gaining a lot of popularity at the moment when it comes to searching for things. You might like to try it, it can turn up all kinds of useful information that you would otherwise have had to ask for on forums, thus resulting in you having to wait for replies and resulting in other people to go out of their way to find the information for you. It will probably save you some time. Check it out at http://www.google.com If you still need a helping hand, try this link; http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=sketchup+chamfer+corner+plugin

Chris MacDonald
The problem is that this site is (almost daily) flooded with questions that could simply be resolved by a quick google search. It waters down the amount of useful information available here to everyone with questions like "how I set up vray lighting?" or "daylight tutorial plz". Just a modicum of common sense needs to prevail is all. Welcome aboard, it really is a very friendly place actually, sorry to have given you such a hard time. numerobis
sketchucation is all you need for sketchup. the plugin section lists almost every available plugin and there is a plugin called "SketchUcationTools" which lets you search and install plugins from within sketchup. http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=28782 http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=51728 I think some must have free plugins are: - FredoTools - FredoScale - RoundCorner - Mirror - Joint Push Pull - Curvizard - Curviloft - BezierSpline - Selection Toys - CleanUp³ - Edge Tools² - QuadFace Tools - UV Toolkit² - Material Tools - Tools on Surface - Architect Tools - Extrude Tools - 2DTools You can also search the new Extension Warehouse, but i think they don't have all plugins listed at the moment. http://extensions.sketchup.com/
jackdicker
Thank you so much guys sorry we got off on the wrong foot. I think I need to install that as a start to allow me to install those plugins. Thats what confused me so thanks. I have another question.. Im trying to create a 3d floor plan render with the building cut at about 1.5m high. Now when I render the scene is there a way for it to stop snapping back to the full building? Im only wanting to render my plans where I have created my cut? Hope that makes sense!
numerobis
you can install all plugins manually simply by copying the files and folders into your sketchup plugin folder! (if they are no commercial plugins with an installer) This sketchucationtools plugin is only a way to automate the install and give you a search engine. I haven't tested it myself for now, but i'm still installing all plugins manually, so i can't say how good it works. But i think it should be ok. The automated installation from the Trimble extension warehouse is only supported by the awful SU 2013 as far as i know.

Hope that makes sense! this is a function that has to be supported by your render engine. Otherwise you have to cut it manually (there are also plugins to do this) or hide the faces.
