shauncarollo
So I submitted a job to be farmed out and had this light leak come back in one of the preview images. Can anybody tell me what this looks like to them/how to fix it? The building shell was modeled in Revit, and then exported to FBX and imported into Max 2013 and rendered using Vray 2.3 with a Vray sun and IR/LC. I haven't seen this happen in any of my other test renders, nor have I been able to duplicate it after getting this back. Thanks!

shauncarollo
Increase your hemispherical subdivision on irrediance map setting... If that is the case; why doesn't this show up anywhere else along the animation path (2400 frames)?
Piash
May be it showed up. But was blended in animation. Came out in still image.
shauncarollo
Ok so I guess here's my question. Since I'm sure the renderfarm company did not precalculate the GI settings along the camera path, and just did still image calc's for GI, when they do run the final scene, and precalculate the GI along the path; will that probably not show up? There is no light source in that part of the scene, which I why I mentioned the Vraysun. I guess what I'm asking is, do I need to go inspect that portion of the model to make sure everything is closed off to the exterior light in more depth, or what else could this have been, other than bad geometry and letting sunlight in? notamondayfan
It could be something else such as an object with a standard / non-vray material causing some bad colour bleed. I've seen that before, so might be worth checking.
