sukhpalsingh Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Dear All, I need to have reflection in the glazing but the problem is that i've to show the internal staircase also (which i've done), npt getting reflection in the glazing. Piash Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Use black as diffuse color. You can uncheck fresnel with low reflection. Use full refraction with your desired glass color. Generally hdri lighting can give you very good reflection. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sukhpalsingh Posted August 5, 2013 Author Share Posted August 5, 2013 Thanks Ramjanur, Also, i'ld like to tell you that i've used physical cam and sunlight for rendering this, as when i try to use vray cam and vray sun i'm getting brned and washed-out look. notamondayfan Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 On your lower windows, are the rooms modelled, because it looks like there is just a wall about 1/2m from the window frame? Also glass is a very simple material in situations like these, very reflective and very refractive. The complex part is controlling what is seen in the reflections. The lighting of your scene also has a massive effect on the appearance of glass. You really need to find some good photographic references and see how glass should look in the real world, and then apply the same principles to your rendering.
