tecton3d
I have an issue where my onscreen image - within the GUI of max 2013 isn't matching the same rendered file when saved. The saved file turns out much much darker. Below is a shot of the saved image (left) and the onscreen image (right)... this file is saved as a .jpg but even rendered animations turn out to the same. I'm using Max 2013, Mental Ray, on a Dell Precision m6500 (i7 x940, quadro fx 3800m) Thoughts/advice? thank you. Matt McDonald
It looks like gamma. The image on the right looks like it's gamma 2.2 and the left gamma 1.0. You can correct in photoshop to fix your immediate need and then get started reading up on linear workflow.
